High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol

If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. While the salads and soups sound healthy, you must skip the Fiesta Chopped Salad and Loaded Potato Soup at Applebee's. Oh, the PAINTED LADIES... Dear Manager, Do you think you might consider being more diverse in your hiring practices? You do of course realize that there are women who don't have tattoos, right? And you do realize that it is okay to be diverse in your hiring practices, right? So, it is okay to hire a woman who doesn't have arm fulls of colored tattoos. Thank you! Geez, it would be so nice to actually be served by someone that you'd let in to your own home. On our visit on August 21st, after getting through the painted ladies, there was something else not going well at all with this restaurant. Meals were late coming out of the kitchen, being returned for rework, etc. Not a good situation!!

This place is always packed with people. It is in a convenient location the huge mall in it's vacuity. I have always had a great existence when I come here. The chicken had gotten so much better. They actually use real chicken now instead of the frozen stuff. The salmon was good but this not a place for it but it's decent.

I haven't been to an Applebee's in awhile! My girlfriend and I came here before our movie, for some drinks and appetizers. We had mozzarella sticks and onion rings. I had the Ruby Long Island Ice Tea, and it was awesome. It's a new beverage here I guess. My girlfriends onion rings were under-cooked, so she sent it back and her new ones were much better. My mozzarella sticks were perfect! We will come again for another before-movie pre game. Try the Long Islands! Bring your friends!

This is a great late night spot there's half off appetizers after 10 and the wedge salad is the best in the city. on a scale of 1 thru 10 I give the service a 8 and the environment and setting a 9. My girl and I prefer to sit outside especially at night because it is less crowded and the fresh air is pleasant and welcoming I've had everything from the ribs which are good, to the hamburgers with real ground beef and fresh fresh topping. For the appetizers, the buffalo wings but my favorite is the wedge salad. So if you're a Applebee's fan or its your first time, you'll be impressed with it all. Enjoy.

Ordered ribs to go with Cole slaw. Ribs was cold and look like it was not grill but warm up in a microwave. Did not get the Cole slaw and the bill was over $30 plus tip. Never will I eat there again.

This Applebee's location gets a 5 because of the service. We normally sit in the bar area because we receive the best service from Jamie. If the music is to load, they have no problem durning it down.

I don't typically rate CHAIN restaurants because no matter how bad you can rate it, for some reason it still stays in business. With that being said, Applebee's has went down IMO - down in customer service, food waiting time, and presentation. The menu is still pretty good... but this particular location, what I ordered was a bit disappointing. The sweet tea was watered down, so i traded for a strawberry lemonade - only for it to come to me with some Syrupy taste. I got the peppe crusted steak, which was good... but it was drenched in wet tomatoes and spinach... i like my steaks juicy from the meat.. NOT the other stuff. And the server rarely came back for our order. Don't get me wrong, Applebee's isn't terrible, I just think Applebee's seriously needs to get revamped. If your into the whole bar atmosphere then that's all what it's pretty much good for... but Everyone who rated this particular spot 4stars and up need to get checked on.

Walked in and there was 5 people at the front desk with their backs to us. After about 30 seconds one of them says "how many"? No hello, welcome, or anything. They sat us without another word. The booth was dirty. The waitress was not friendly. We just left for Cheddars across the street. I'm not spending my money somewhere that doesn't care.

Went for their late night 1/2 off appetizers deal and it was a complete nightmare. Was given chips soaked in oil, that's apparently according to the manager were the leftovers, I mean, REALLY!? Service was bad and food was even worst than the service. Never again.

I just went to Applebees Parkside, we had a group of ladies, I think 11, we had an excellent waitress, Samantha S, she did an excellent job keeping everyone's orders correct and our drink glasses full! (Mostly ice teas). Everyone's food was delicious! I think we'll bee going back for some more ladies lunches! Great experience!

I had a really bad experience at this applebee. I know about the promotion 'order strawberry lemonade get the tacos for free, if the servers don't mention it' I lost twice before and I finally know how to get that free. I love these tacos and how great if I can join this promotion. I took my mom there to celebrate july 4 around 12pm. When the server comes they asked me order to drink, her name is Andy. She mentioned coke, beer and I said I wanted strawberry lemonade. She smiled and said it was great. She walked away but I asked her 'excuse me, so do I get the tacos.' She was silent and answered like "oh" and she asked me to wait. After going somewhere and she came back, she said she couldn't give that free for me because the promotion says if the server didn't mention. I told her "yeah, you didn't mention it, you just said coke and beer not strawberry lemonade. I lost this promotion twice, the girl served me before show me how to get this already." She was silent and she said she would bring it out. However, 2 minutes later a man with green shirt who I thought was a manager came and told me that he couldn't give me that tacos. I asked why. He said I couldn't interrupt when she introduced the drink, she would recommend this but because I interrupted her so I can't get it and I didn't understand the promotion. He told me this girl was trained so well and all the servers were train so well to serve the customer. His attitude like I was so mean, I was impolite when I interrupted his server. He told me ' you don't understand, you can't say when she was talking." I was mad and I stood up, asked my mom to go. He kept me and said " oh if you want I can buy it for you" Buy it, do you think that I need him to buy for me? I get my mom there to enjoy not to get the food free. I just want to join this promotion for fun. He said all the servers were train well. I thought he was the one who train them, so that's why they are so rude to customers. I felt really bad and I stepped out then get the lunch at red lobster on 34tj street north instead. And you know all the servers in there were so nice, they really deeply understand customers and serve what customers need, not only food but friendly. They asked me where I lived, how my jobs. They are so nice. I really love applebee food but the quality of service is so bad. It is not the first time. Was that man a real manager who studied how to serve customers? You can go to applebee to enjoy food, but not this place. Bad time ever!

I'm not sure why we keep coming back here. The service is so bad we wait in the lobby for about 6 minutes before getting seated and then there only seems to be one waitress at all times of day no matter when we come. The manager often has to handle the workload.

Not a huge Applebee's fan, but this location is decent. Used to (and not sure if they still do) have karaoke on Thursday nights. Service and good has been okay here as well.

Great late night food! Very punctual service! Quick, easy, and cheap! Manager came out a couple times, made sure we had been waited on and asked how the food was. Delicious food! Only thing about this particular AppleBees is the lack of parking!

Better experience than most box stores. My brother and I went on a Sunday before the movie. We had the two for twenty. The boneless wings arrived quickly and were hot. They tasted great. The sirloin was over cooked. However, it was still tender and tasty, so I ignored the fact that it was a bit overdone. Also, I enjoyed the 2 for 1 tap special. Good experience for the price.

I swear this has to be the Applebee's that Hall Pass was filmed for. THIS place is crazy busy after 9pm. It's Applebee's so I'm not getting into the menu. We've all been there. But this place has 2 for 1 drink specials all day! How can you beat that! Half price apps after 10. There is always something going on here! Hoppin!

  • M. M.

Stop in for a cocktail and a snack occasionally on the way home from road trips. Busy location, but bartenders are attentive. Somewhat pushy with getting you to order from food menu. Always have 2-for-1 drink specials. Crowd is very mixed, from early 20s up to late 50s in age.

  • Dana S.

The food here is good, service is alright. It's pretty much like every other Applebee's, nothing special. I do like the half off apps late night special.

  • Tara W.

I liked my dinner, but not the service. I got the Nappa Chicken from the under 500 cal menu, and it was good. Nothing special, but still good. Our waitress was attentive at first, but once we got our food she disappeared. When we were finished and wanted the check, we waited for 15 minutes AFTER we were done eating before she showed up. We honestly thought she had left. Applebee's isn't a place I typically go for dinner, but it was nearby and we were hungry. I can't say I would go back again with all the other choices for restaurants.

Used to go here occasionally for late night 1/2 price appetizers. Each time though, I'd be like, "wow this food really sucks, it tastes like frozen crap from the supermarket, why do we even come here?" Well, once again we found ourselves needing a some food late one night forgot how bad it is, and were duped into the 1/2 price special. It was horrible once again, and to top it off my daughter and I both had stomach aches the next day, perhaps mild case of food poisoning. So we won't be returning. If you are just out for a couple of drinks, the 2 for 1 deal is pretty decent, but I'd stay away from the food. Support a local business instead. Try Cody's on 4th, they have killer 1/2 price appetizers all day long if you sit at the bar, and 1/2 price drinks, and they are a local business.

Our service was horrible. 2 for 1 happy hour...out of cold mugs so brought out our beers in hot mugs right out of dishwasher. My steak and red potatoes were cold and my husbands steak and mashed potatoes were steaming hot. My salad came out with my meal and tasted like it had sat in fridge with seafood, unable to eat do to smell. Ask for a togo create to take my steak home for our dog and the waiter brought out a dirty container. Spoke with manager and my meal was removed from bill. Our service should have never gotten to this point. Will have to think twice about going back to this location!!!!

This Applebee's was horrible! It took 20 minutes to receive are drinks that we ordered. We then had to wait for a new server because our other server went home in the middle of our order and had to wait ten more minutes to order and then 45 minutes For food. I understand things happen but the manger never came out and they weren't even busy. Not once did I get a offered a drink refill! Very disappointed!

I had the fish and chips, which were incredibly good! It came with 3 pieces of delicious golden fried white fish (maybe cod?) and really good crispy french fries. The tartar sauce was good, though it may have been from a jar... Add a happy hour 2-fer-1 beer and color me satisifed.

Sometimes I just want to drink a margarita; and sometimes I want to have a 2 for 1 margarita! I know Applebees is the only place to get that! 2 for 1 margaritas and a salad was just a perfect snack for me. I don't typically enjoy chain restaurants, but every once in a while it's good to break in an old habit. I wish STL would have Applebees with 2 for 1's. All this talk for about margaritas makes me want one; good thing I live close to plenty of bars!

After moving all morning we decided to treat ourselves to lunch here as it was on the way home. There's not that much parking but we got lucky and found spaces for both our vehicles next to the curbside pickup. We got the Trio appetizers with warm Spinach and Artichoke dip, Won Ton tacos with Pork and Steak Tower..Everything was pretty good except for the chips brought out with the dip. They tasted stale. The manager who goes from table to table asking how things are got an earful from us. She denied they were stale, saying they made them fresh every morning but when we help a limp one up for her she admitted they had a new kid doing the deep frying and it looks like he put too many chips in the deep fryer so that they cooked unevenly. She offered us more chips but we had no dip left so we passed. The Maple Butter Blondie would have been great had not they burned the butter and bottom of the Blondie. So-so food.
